China has a unique writing culture that has been around for more than 3000 years. This is also a significant reason of the cultural continuity as well as cohesion that exists in China and given it a prominent place in the history of the world. Chinese calligraphy is an integral part of a Chinese culture that continues to be the part of their modern traditions and culture.
Chinese calligraphy is an ancient art that has been around since the advent of Chinese civilization. The old Chinese calligraphy art exhibit the wisdom of Chinese and celebrates their knowledge. The tradition of calligraphy in the East Asian region originated as well as developed from china. The Chinese calligraphy emphasizes movement and is charged by the dynamics of life.
This tradition of Chinese has been kept alive by their young generation. An established 35 years old young calligrapher and an engineer by profession, Chou Yao-Zong from Taiwan, is presenting his Solo Chinese Calligraphy Exhibition Taipei City Arts Promotion Office Room 3.
Chou Yao-Zong has grabbed more than 20 art awards during the period of 2009 to 2013. He has been invited by the prestigious government organisations to present his unique artwork at the various occasions. His artwork has been kept as a permanent collection by Ministry of Education at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall.
The young artist of calligraphy has developed deep insight into the Chinese literature and poetry during his path of mastering Chinese calligraphy.
During the past few years, his focus shifted from creating individual creations to making preparations for the exhibition which accelerates his own creativity. For this purpose, he is holding a solo exhibition of his pieces of Chinese calligraphy art to exhibit for inspiration to the aspiring young calligraphy artists and to show the artistic side of China to the world.
