Naples, FL, March 29, 2018 –(PR.com)– The Coupon Information Corporation (CIC®) Executive Director Bud Miller, CPP, was recently commended by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In a letter from FBI Director, Christopher A. Wray, Miller was thanked for his dedication in supporting the FBI’s efforts on numerous, “complex coupon fraud schemes,” specifically, Miller’s 17 years of work on the Balsinger case.

According to the letter, “Balsinger… responsible for the largest coupon fraud investigation in this industry to date, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay over $65 million in restitution.”

“We greatly appreciate the strength, knowledge, and expertise of the CIC Members who made this possible, and thank them for their continued support of our mission,” said Miller of the recognition. “We also look forward to our continued support of the FBI’s efforts to fight fraud.”
